So, leave the City behind and join us for a fun and scenic ride on the beautiful Northfork of Long Island on the East End. Come relax and spend the day. We meet by 10:45 at the Mattituck LIRR train station. A train from the City arrives around then. Ride is accessible by either car or public transportation. There is free parking at the Mattituck station. We will head on a journey that includes beautiful riding, amazing vistas, some incredible homes, a few fun climbs and downhills and did I mention water views. This 45+ mile ride is mostly flat but hilly in a few places.
This is an advanced moderate ride, given the distance and some hills. However, we will be running the ride as more of a tour, enjoying the scenery and views. Pace will be part moderate and part advanced moderate at the low end
Any questions, please email me.
Normally, we would stop and pick up lunch, but under the current circumstances, please bring your lunch, snacks and sufficient hydration, as it is very unlikely that we will stop to pick up food. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS: A reminder that you must register for the ride and that the exact start location will be forwarded to those on the ride. Please 'unregister' if you can not make the ride so waited list folks can move up and take the slot. All riders should come equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer/wipes, a spare tube, sunscreen, snacks and a bike in good condition, as well as being familiar with the current criteria for riding with the Club.
