PURIM Version of 5BBC Black History Month Ride - WEATHER UPDATE - RIDE IS BEING MOVED ONCE AGAIN TO FEB 26TH FRIDAY - SAME TIME - WE HOPE FOURTH TIME WILL BE THE CHARM
Friday, February 26, 2021 - 09:45

FEB 24 UPDATE: Good news - based on the weather forecast, Friday looks doable! This ride will start at City Hall and End at Dyckman in Inwood though we have ride with GPS routes to share and will drop you at the west side greenway if you want to ride back. We will also end near the A train for those who want to subway back. February 27th was Malcolm X's funeral. We will pass by the place it was held as well as where he was shot and ride along the street that carries his name as well as many other significant African American locations on Manhattan Island. Please de-register if you cannot make it.

BONUS! EARLY BIRDS CATCH THE HAMANTASHEN - better than a worm, believe me. It's PURIM Today and this ride was going to be my traditional annual Purim Shpeeler and so it will have hamantashen, plus a stop to pick up Rugala (African American Variation Thereof - Thanks Maureen) AND a couple of lost synagogues along the way. One happens to be the place where Malcolm X was buried fyi!
