Come join us on the Bronx River for a free Community Rowing with the Rocking the Boat organization.  This is a nonprofit educational organization helping kids in the South Bronx learning boat building.  Their mission statement:

Rocking the Boat empowers young people from the South Bronx to develop the self-confidence to set ambitious goals and gain the skills necessary to achieve them. Students work together to build wooden boats, learn to row and sail, and restore local urban waterways, revitalizing their community while creating better lives for themselves. Kids don't just build boats, boats build kids.

We'll meet on the Upper East Side at Schurz Park and take the scenic route along the East River to Randall's Island then weave our way to the Hunt's Point Riverside Park where we'll try our hand at rowing on the Bronx River.  Following this adventure, we'll get back on our bikes and follow the Bronx River up to E 241st St where you will have the option of hopping on the 2 train or riding the Bronx Park path back.
