This ride celebrates the nautical history of the only borough on the Mainland.  In 1687, the first house in The Bronx was built by Charlton Ferris, and the neighborhood was named Ferris Point.  In the 19th Century, this became a resort area and Manhattanites would head up the river for the fresh air of The Bronx. The 19th-century steamboat landing was at Ferris Dock on Westchester Creek, which stood at present-day Brush Avenue north of Wenner Place.  It was an easy name change from Ferris Point to Ferry Point.  This ride heads along the Bronx Shores and into Ferry Point Park for some great water views.  We then turn inland for lunch in Parkchester.  After lunch, we return to Classon Point where we take the brand new Soundview Ferry back into Manhattan.  There are three different stops you can depart the ferry

So, come ride with us as we celebrate the nautical Bronx.  All Aboard.  TOOT TOOT.

Bring the usual things you bring on the ride - remember sunscreen and water.  The ferry costs $3.75.
