Ready-Set-Go! Registration for the 5BBC's signature event - the Montauk Century - is open for business!! On Sunday, May 16, 2010, the best century ride in the east will be held. Choose from 65, 100, and 145 mile routes on Long Island's beautiful South Shore. Check-in points are at Penn Station and the LIRR station in Babylon. All routes end in Montauk where we'll be serving up hot meals and showers. Transportation is available to get you and your bike home.

Bulletin Board

The Montauk Century Bulletin Board is the place to discuss the 5BBC's upcoming Montauk Century bicycle ride on Sunday, May 16, 2010.

To post messages to our Bulletin Board, you first need to become a Bulletin Board member. Membership is limited to people who are interested in the Montauk Century. Since you're reading this, we've already figured out that you're interested, therefore you can expect that your membership will be granted within a day or two. To ensure email delivery of your membership acceptance and Bulletin Board messages, we suggest adding the domain googlegroups.com to your safe address list. If you wish to change your email address after you've signed up for the Bulletin Board, go to this page.

Messages posted on the Bulletin Board are moderated. They should relate in some way to the Montauk Century and should not include personal attacks, profanity, advertisements, or promotion of other cycling events. Spammers will be terminated from the Bulletin Board with extreme prejudice and their messages will be sent to the bit bucket in the sky.

If you are having trouble posting messages and:	Try this:
You are not (yet) a member of the Montauk Century Bulletin Board.	Go to the Bulletin Board and click "New users: Join" in the upper left corner. If you already have a Google account, sign into it and on the next page, click "Join this group". If you have never set up a Google account, you'll need to set one up. After you've established your Google account, you can then sign up for the board by logging in with your new Google account. After you join, it may take a day or two to activate your posting privileges. If you are in a hurry to post, email communications@5bbc.org.
You are member of the Montauk Century Bulletin Board, but are still not allowed to post. A spurious message appears at the top of the screen: "You cannot post messages because only members can post, and you are not currently a member."	Phooey! You are a member. Go to the Bulletin Board, click "Members: Sign in" in the upper left corner, and give 'em your email and password. This must be the email and password which you gave for the Bulletin Board. Alternatively, you can go to your email application and send your message (from the same email address that you are using for the Bulletin Board) to montaukcentury2010@googlegroups.com. If you are a Bulletin Board member and can't get past this point, email communications@5bbc.org.
